Nicholas John Sabo Jr., 52, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at his home surrounded by family, following a long illness.

Born in Stafford Springs, CT on August 13, 1962, he was the son of Nicholas Sabo Sr. and the late Patricia (Sanford) Sabo.

He was a graduate of Greenwich Central School, class of 1981 and loved playing football and baseball. In 1981 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country till 1988. Nick was stationed in Virginia and Iceland.

On January 14, 2006, he married Patricia Ann Cooper at the Gospel Lighthouse in Hudson Falls.

Nick enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting, 4 wheeling, was an avid nature lover, music, drawing, and especially loved teaching people and was a very kind and patient person. But most of all, he cherished spending time with family and friends.

He was a member of the Zion Episcopal Church of Hudson Falls and the American Legion.

Besides his mother, Nick is predeceased by his grandmother, Emma Sabo.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 8 years, Patricia Sabo of Hudson Falls, son, Nicholas Sabo III of Margate, FL, daughter, Lindsey Sabo of Hudson Falls, father, Nicholas Sabo Sr. of Argyle, sister, Debbie Doyle of Argyle, Michele Sabo of Glens Falls, and Melinda Sabo of Fort Ann, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Zion Episcopal Church 232 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
