Obituary for Bruce Allen Nassivera

Bruce A. Nassivera, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 29, 2014.

He was born on August 14, 1952, in Glens Falls, and was the son of the late Thomas and Cora (Furness) Nassivera.

Bruce attended both Minerva and Hudson Falls schools.

At the age of 17 Bruce began what became a 30-year career with Glens Falls Paper Box in Glens Falls as a machinist. At the time of his passing he had worked for over 15 years with Irving Tissue in Fort Edward.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was a member of the Cardinals Rock Hunting Club in Forestport, NY.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his brother, Randy; an infant brother, Mark; and his brother-in-law, George Elliott.

Survivors include his brother, Kevin Nassivera, and his wife, Joan; his sister, Tammy Elliott; his nephew, Benjamin Elliott; his nephew, Jeremy Nassivera, and his wife, Allison; his niece, Brittany Nassivera; his aunt, Luetta Gordy, of Rupert, VT; his uncle, Arnold Furness, and his wife, Josephine, of Burlington, VT, as well as his grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.

Funeral Services will be conducted immediately following calling hours at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, with Regina Haag, of Adirondack Friends Meeting, officiating.

A private burial in the Moss Street Cemetery, Hudson Falls, will be held in the spring.
