Imelda “Millie” Bover, 94, formally of 16 Saratoga Ave., S. Glens Falls, NY, died peacefully on December 5th 2014. Millie was undergoing rehab at Westmont Health Facility in Queensbury NY. Prior to this she had been in assisted living at Adirondack Manor also in Queensbury since 2009.

Born July 24, 1920 in Lowell, Massachusetts, she was the youngest of 7 children born to the late Delphine (Boissonneault) Martin and Jean Baptiste Martin of 72 Lily Ave., Lowell, MA. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 3 brothers Leo, Lucian and Armand all from Lowell, MA and 3 sisters, Jeannette Destroismaison of Connecticut, Bernadette Martin and Gertrude Martin of Lowell. She is survived by 2 nephews; Richard and Walter and a niece Phyllis.

She married Thomas M. Bover on April 19th 1947 at Louis De France Catholic Church in Lowell, MA. They were married 60 years before his death in April 2007 and raised 5 sons.

Millie attended St. Louis Catholic School in Lowell, MA. She especially enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren. Later in life, Millie trained as a Nurse’s Aide and worked at the Hallmark Nursing Center. She also worked at the South End Market in S. Glens Falls.

She was a founding member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society.

Millie is survived by 5 sons, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 step grand children and 6 step great grandchildren.

Michael Bover and his wife Josephine of Lafayette, LA. and his two step children: Jean Pierre Chaze and his children Charlotte, Kelly, Peter and Claire; and Rene` Chaze and his wife Kristine and their children Caroline and Nathan; W. James Bover and his wife Carla and their children Michelle Manderski and her husband Greg and their son Owen of Bridgewater, NJ, and J. Raymond, Kristen M. and A. Michael of Scotch Plains, NJ.; T. Andre` Bover and his wife Terry of Moultonboro, NH and his daughter Jennifer and her partner Josh Parkin of Pittston, ME.; D. Paul Bover and his wife Debra and their children Melissa Bover and her children Sabrina and Jacob of S. Glens Falls, Thomas and his wife Katie and his son Austin of Hudson Falls and their son David of Morrisonville, NY.; J.Mark Bover and his wife Deborah of Duncansville, PA and their children Amanda Bover of Glendale , AZ. and J. Adam Bover and his wife Melanie and their son J. Kimball of Middletown, NY .

A rosary will be said on Monday December 8, 2014 at 5:00pm at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls NY 12803 with Rev. Guy A. Childs, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the spring time at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Glens Falls, NY.
