Felix “Skip” Perry, 75, passed away on Saturday January 17 at the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida.

Skip was born on October 15, 1939 in Glens Falls. He was the son of the late Felix Henry Sr. and Gertrude (Field) Perry.

Skip was a 1957, graduate of Fort Edward High School. He started his career as a Fort Edward Police Officer and retired as a Corrections Officer at Mt.McGregor Correctional Facility in Wilton.

On December 21, 1958 Skip married the love of his life Donna Harrington at St. Joseph’s church in Fort Edward.

He was a member of the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, T Bird Country Club, and a longtime member of the Fort Edward Idle Hour Club.

Skip enjoyed playing golf and cards, especially pitch and poker. He was an avid Bills and Red Sox fan and especially loved going to his grandkids sporting events and spending time with them.

He enjoyed life, was very outgoing, and his great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents Skip was predeceased by a great grandson Aiden Ryan Perry and his adopted brother William Field.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife Donna (Harrington) Perry; His son Felix Perry III and wife Deborah of Hudson Falls, Mike Perry and wife Kimberly of South Glens Falls, Dan Perry and wife Cathy of Queensbury, grandchildren Brooke Melrose, Lauren Winchell, Daniel Perry Jr., Mallory Perry, Brittany Perry, Amanda Perry, Michaela Perry, Jeremy Perry, Nicole Burch, Eric Perry, his brother Robert Perry and wife Davine, many great grandchildren, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 11a.m. on Friday January 23, 2015, 164 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828. A reception will be held following the Funeral Mass on Friday at the Fort Edward Idle Hour Club.

Graveside services will be conducted 1p.m on Friday May, 22 2015 at the St. Joseph's cemetery in Fort Edward.

Donations in Skip’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
