Rita Marie (Dudley) Normandin, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hazel (Harrington) Dudley.

On January 3, 1959, she married the love of her life George A. Normandin and they were married by Rev. Korb in South Glens Falls. Together they raised 5 children in the Hudson Falls area.

Rita was employed by Robinson’s Laundry in South Glens Falls, CB Sports in Glens Falls, and Daisy Brite in South Glens Falls until her retirement.

She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to many casinos, and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.

Besides her parents, Rita is predeceased by a brother, William Dudley and a son in-law, Lester Pregent.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 56 years George A. Normandin of South Glens Falls, children, Karen Pregent of South Glens Falls, Jeffery Normandin of Malone, Michael Normandin and wife Martha of Fort Edward, Mark Normandin of Clifton Park, and Dawn Normandin of South Glens Falls, nine grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Moriah, Tim, David, Liz, Bradley, Mike “Buddy” and Ashley, seven great grandchildren, Blake, Luke, Conner, Caleb, Juliet, Isabella, and Jaxson, two brothers, Russell Dudley and Phil Lewis, two sisters, Barbara Harding and Joanne LaBombard,; two special friends, Kathy Winslow and Betty Howe, along with several brothers in-law and sisters in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Rita’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
