Robin Marie  Canastra
Robin M. Canastra, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4th, 2015.

Born on January 1, 1967 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Nancy E. (Tromblee) and the late Lowen A. Rouse.

Robin was a long time member of the St. Therese’s Church in Gansevoort.

She graduated from South Glens Falls Central School, Class of 1985. After high school she worked as a financial aid advisor for Empire State College.

Robin loved being with her family, it was the most important thing in life to her. She really enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, shopping, going to the museum with the kids, swimming, going to the beach and country music. She was a very loving and forgiving person.

In addition to her father, Robin was predeceased by her grandparents George and Thelma Tromblee; her brothers, Ronald Rouse and Arthur Rouse; infant brother, Joseph M. Rouse; Sister-in-law, Sabrina (King) Rouse; nieces Bobbi Lyn Rouse and Kari Ann Rouse; nephew, Bret Mitchell Rouse; Aunt, Helen “Honey” Straight.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Nancy E. (Tromblee) Rouse; daughter, Kayla M. Ochse and husband Jeff; son, Kyle A. Canastra and fiancé Alexis; Granddaughter, Kaylynn Lea Canastra; brother, Robert “Bert” A. Rouse and wife Brenda and Rodney “Rod” M. Rouse and wife Kate; sister, Cynthia Baker and husband Wayne; nephews, Robert Rouse and wife Jamie, Rodney Lowen Rouse, Ryan Richard Rouse; niece, Sara Mulcahy, Sophia Irena Rouse and Kayce McGee; Aunts, Diane Rice and Sharon Mattison; great nieces and nephews, Zariyah Rouse and Kaeden Rouse; as well as former husband, Anthony “Tony” Canastra.

A Catholic Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the St. Therese’s Church 1 Wilton Gansevoort Road Gansevoort, New York 12831.

Burial will follow at the Gansevoort Cemetery Route 50 Gansevoort, NY 12831.
