Keith E. Baker, 59, died on July 6, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital with family by his side.

Born in Glens Falls on August 20, 1955, he was the son of the late Bernice and Arlene (Cenate) Baker.

On April 4, 2009 Keith married Carrie Morrison at the Fort Edward Village Baptist Church.

He started his education in Fort Edward then due to redistricting transferred to South Glens Falls High School and completed his education in Germany after joining the Army. Keith served in the NY National Guard from 1979-1999.

Keith was employed by SCA Tissue as an electrician and instrumentation technician for 35 years. He served as USW Union 1478 president for 21 years and was recently reelected to his 8th term.

Keith enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially riding for a cause. His final ride was for the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). He also enjoyed playing golf, watching the Buffalo Bills, and was an avid NASCAR fan of Rusty Wallace and then of Kasey Kahne. He loved Boston Terriers.

In 2013, he became a lifetime member of VFW Post 2475 recently being elected Sr. Vice. In the 90s and in 2013 he ran unsuccessfully for Moreau Town Supervisor. Keith was petitioning to be put on the 2015 ballot for a Town Board seat.

Besides his parents, Keith was predeceased by his 2nd wife of 25 years, Wendy Barber Baker; and his sister, Betty Jean Rollston.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carrie; brother, Terry Baker; stepmother, Mary Baker; mother-in-law, Emily Geroux McWhorter; sisters-in-law, Jo Ellen, Mary Beth and Patty Sue Morrison; mother and father-in-law, Beatrice and Percy Barber; brother-in-law, Michael Barber (Joelle); nephews, Justin Barber and Joe Baker; two estranged daughters Jennifer Rock (Mark) and Stephanie Waldron; grandchildren, Philip, Tiffany, Taylor and Brittany; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 1-3pm and 5-7pm on Sunday, July 12th, 2015 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A service will be conducted Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:30am at the Fort Edward Village Baptist Church, 131 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828. Burial will follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
