Marilyn Jean Brosius, 79, of South Glens Falls passed away on Friday July 10, 2015, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Glens Falls NY, on September 20, 1935 she was the daughter of the late, Ernest and Doris (Pouliotte) DeGrechie.

Marilyn attended Hudson Falls High School where she graduated and received her diploma.

On December 14, 1957 she married the love of her life, John Brosius Sr. at St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls and they spent 40 happy years until his death in October of 1997.

She worked for many years at the Joy Store, in South Glens Falls until its closing. She then went on to work as a cashier for Ace Hardware in South Glens Falls right up until her retirement.

Marilyn very much enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as watching the cooking channel on TV. She also enjoyed finishing crossword puzzles and taking trips to Maine.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, John Brosius Jr. and his wife, Kelley, of Bluffton SC; son, Thomas Brosius, of Wilton; daughter, Nancy Loy and her husband, Todd, of South Glens Falls; son, Scott Brosius and his significant other, Crystal Twiss, of South Glens Falls; brother in law, Arthur F. Brosius Jr., of Milton DE; her grandchildren, Rory Brosius and his wife, Monica, of Los Angeles CA, Sarah Brosius and her significant other, Jake Butler, of South Glens Falls, Courtney Brosius and her significant other, Nick Heald, of South Glens Falls, Dylan Loy, of South Glens Falls and Kelsey Brosius, of South Glens Falls; her great grandson, Jackson Butler, of South Glens Falls; as well as several cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon at the funeral home following calling hours.

A Rite of Committal will take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Vaughn Rd. Hudson Falls, NY 12828.
