Linda R. Whaley

Linda R. Whaley, 53, of Corinth passed away on August 7, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness. She was surrounded by people who loved her.

Born in Glens Falls on April 4, 1962, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Loretta (Simmons) Whaley. She attended school at the Prospect Center in Hudson Falls before attending a residential program and school in Wilton New York. Linda then moved to Ballston Spa where she spent the next 20 years.
In 1995, Linda moved to a Jonesville residence, where she lived until 2013.
Most recently she lived in Corinth.

Linda attended Adirondack Day Habilitation program in Corinth and had many friends there. She made many friends over the years and valued her close relationships.

She will be remembered by many for her lovable personality and vibrant spirit. Linda was often playful and mischievous, and always kept her friends laughing. She loved music and was known to be the first person on the dance floor, and the last one off. Linda loved animals and children and had a contagious laugh. When she was at her day program, one of her favorite things to do was to put on her tap dancing shoes and tap to music.

Linda enjoyed being outside, going on walks, and bird-watching. She loved having her hair done and spending time with her favorite people at the house.

Left to cherish her memory include her brother, George Whaley and his wife, Ki, of Fort Edward; her sisters, Mary Beadleston, of Hudson Falls, Kathy Whaley and her companion, Tom Sellingham Jr. of Fort Ann; her nieces and nephews, Heather Fowler and husband Seth, Dan Whaley and wife Nichole, Rich Whaley, Willie Beadleston and wife Missy, Matthew Beadleston, and Courtney Graham as well as several cousin and many caretakers.

Linda’s family will be forever grateful to the many people who cared for her throughout the years. The love and dedication you showed to Linda is invaluable and truly appreciated. She was lucky to have so many loving people around her throughout her life.

There will be no calling hours.
