Obituary for Donna Lee Whorf
Donna L. Whorf, 67, of Haviland Ave., passed away at Albany Medical Center on August 9, 2015 after a long illness.
Born November 26, 1947 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Norma (Nicholson) Durkee.
She attended South Glens Falls High School.
Donna married David Whorf on June 3, 1967 at St. Michaels Church in South Glens Falls. They were married for 39 years until his passing.
Donna enjoyed soap operas, traveling, board games, spending time with her family especially her granddaughter Skyler.
Besides her parents, Donna is predeceased by her husband, David Whorf and her brother, Brian Durkee.
Left to cherish her memory include her son Jim Whorf and wife Chris of South Glens Falls; granddaughter Skyler Whorf of South Glens Falls; her brothers, Lawrence “Skip” Durkee and wife June of South Glens Falls and Michael Durkee and wife Kathy of Glens Falls, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Thursday August 20, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street South Glens Falls, NY 12803. To view Donna’s Book of Memories and to post online condolences please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday August 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Main Street South Glens Falls.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donna’s memory can be made to the South Glens Falls Marathon Dance, 6 Bluebird Rd. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
