Obituary for Peter Jon Longdaue
Argyle
Peter Jon Longdaue, 59, of State Rt. 40, passed away at home on Wednesday November 4, 2015 with his loving family by his side.
Born on March 29, 1956 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late, Ernest and Winifred (McKernon) Longdaue.
Pete attended Argyle Central School graduating in the class of 1975.
On April 5, 2003, he married the love of his life, Carol (Dunphy) Longdaue at Argyle Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Stephen McLean, officiating the service.
Peter attended Argyle Presbyterian church for many years.
Pete was employed with Argyle Central Schools as a custodian for 28 years until his retirement in 2013. He then went on to work part time at his best friends business, DK Machine.
Peter enjoyed activities such as working on the family farm, restoring classic cars especially his 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente, going to car shows, camping and traveling throughout the United States. Most of all he loved spending time with his family; he loved children and loved his companion of 17 years, his dog, Scruffy.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brother, David Longdaue.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Longdaue; his daughter, Carey Lunt and her husband Warren; his two sons, Colin Brown and Chase Brown and his wife, Anneke; his daughter, Deanna Spitulski and her husband, James; his brothers, Robert Longdaue and his wife Cynthia and Richard Longdaue; his six grandsons; his one granddaughter; his two nephews, Wilson and Douglas Longdaue; his niece, Heather Osborne; as well as many cousins.

A celebration of life will be at 11a.m on Saturday November 14, 2015 at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, 48 Main St. Argyle, NY 12809, with the Rev. Stephen McLean, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
