Obituary for David Floyd Carpenter
Glens Falls
David Floyd Carpenter, 59, passed away at his home on Thursday November 19, 2015.
Born June 10, 1956 he was the son of the late Floyd and Georgianna (Donovan) Carpenter.
He attended Glens Falls High School Class of 1975.
David enjoyed watching the New York Giants, New York Yankees and other sports. He also liked listening to country music his favorite being Hank Williams. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends especially watching his grandchildren play football, baseball and soccer.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Joyce McCullen and stepson Rian Danahy.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Karla Bombard and her significant other Josh Brackett and Kara Gates and her husband Jarod; his stepdaughter, Merri-Ellen Palmer; his grandchildren, Caleb, Kellen, Bryan, William, Sara, Jennifer and Nathan; his brothers, Richard Carpenter and his wife Sue, Daniel Carpenter and his wife Rosemary, Floyd James Carpenter II and his wife Joan and Rheal Carpenter and his wife Emma; his sisters Laurie Malone and her husband Patrick and Debbie Robbins and her husband Lucky; his significant other Terrie Reed and her family; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1p.m. following calling hours with Rev. Liam Condon officiating.
Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
