Shirley M. McDougall, of Hinds Road, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home.

Born on July 13, 1944 in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Gonyea) Jarvis.

Shirley had formerly worked at Steven and Thompson Paper Co. in Greenwich for many years. She enjoyed all crafts, camping, playing pool on the women’s pool league and bird watching.

Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Johnathan “Jay” McDougall, as well as brothers and sisters, Clarence and Adelaide Jarvis, Harold and Ellie Jarvis, sister and brother-in-law, Rena and Charles Mallory, and her sister-in-law, Marie Jarvis.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 51 years, James McDougall; her three sons, Timothy , William and Tommy McDougall; her grandchildren; Destiny, John, Ashley, Cristian, and Hunter McDougall and Angelica McDougall Bishop; one great grandson, Dexter J. Bishop; her brother, Donald Jarvis; her sister, Janice LaPan and her husband Lester and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Shirley’s request there will be no calling hours.

A family gathering to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held at a time to be announced at a family home.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to the Argyle Emergency Squad, 15 Sheridan Street, Argyle, NY 12809.
