Obituary for Gregory Alan "Greggor" Dewey

Gregory Alan "Greggor" Dewey
Argyle

Gregory “Greggor” Dewey, 47 passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born in Whitehall on June 14, 1968, he was the son of Shirleyann (Stewart) Forth.

In 1993 Greggor went out on New Year’s Eve with Susan Davis and they spent 22 crazy, wonderful years together. Susan wishes to express that he was the kindest, gentlest, most giving man she has ever known, and that she is thankful for him filling her life with laughter.

Greggor enjoyed metal detecting, fishing and watching wildlife from his deck. He also loved having bon fires at his home and was an accomplished drummer when he was younger. Greggor was always wanting to return to his beloved Washington State where he spent many childhood years, but found solace and acceptance in his adopted home of Argyle. He was known for saying, “It’s not the years, it’s the miles.”

Greggor is predeceased by his grandparents, William and Anita Stewart; his brother, Bob Dewey; and his uncle, best friend and sparring partner, David Dewey.

Left to cherish his memory are his partner, Susan Davis; his mother, Shirleyann (Stewart) Forth; his aunt, Dixie Terry and her husband Gene; his cousin Tammie Chamberlin and her husband Terry; his cousin Chad Potter; his other brother, Kelly Morgan, and his “Dad” Angelo Forth, and the whole Davis clan.

Friends are invited to call from 1-3 pm on Saturday January 30, 2016 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A celebration of life will be conducted in the spring at the family’s home.
