Obituary for David P. Bennett

David P. Bennett passed away on Jan. 31, 2016 in Sebring, Fl. He was born in Fort Edward, NY, to Lillian (Weaver) and Millard L. Bennett. Dave graduated from Ft. Edward High School followed by four years in the US Navy. He worked at GE, Ft. Edward for 31 years, retiring in 1997. He then worked as an electrician’s helper until 2012 when illness forced him to retire.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by uncle, James Weaver and sister-in-law Sally Bennett.

Surviving is Wife, Wanda (Lathrop) Bennett. They were married April 22, 1995 at Church of the Messiah, Glens Falls. Also surviving are: Children, Pamela Heil (Chris), Scott Bennett (Kara); step-children, Karen Camp (Phil), Kevin Miner (Connie); sisters, Joan Bennett, Nancy Brockway (Larry), Marcia Guffey (George Rieek); Brother, M. Stuart Bennett; the mother of his children, Carolyn Wilson Bennett. Grandchildren: Jason (Tiffinie) and Shakoda (Denise) Heil; Matthew, Isabella and Michael Bennett; Step-Grandchildren: Travis and Jacqueline Camp, Kevin, Colin and Kurtis Miner, Casey Richardson; several great-grandchildren and step—great-grandchildren; niece Angela Luttenegger, nephews Tim and Jon Brockway, Mark Bennett and their children.

Friends may call from 1-4pm on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Burial will be in the spring at the Glens Falls Cemetery with military honors.
