Elizabeth J. “Bette” Lancour, 71, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at The Pines in Glens Falls.

Born in Bennington, Vermont on August 10, 1944, she was the daughter of Florence (Bennett) Stroffaleno and Donald P. Snyder.

Bette attended Arlington Memorial High School, and then married the love of her life Robert G. (Lucky) Thompson.

She was a stay at home mom, loved taking care of her five children, and an amazing NANA caring for her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Thompson, her three siblings, Perry and Donnie Snyder and her sister Carole Thompson, her grandson Jonathon M. Mulhall, and great grandson Colin VanVleck.

Survivors include her three sons, Robert, Richard and Rick Thompson and their children, Bobby, Lyndsey, Shannon and Breanne, Sarah, Zach, Heather and Jordon, Todd, Trevor and Troy, all from Vermont; Her two daughters, Roberta (Thompson) Cassant, her husband Jason and their children, Kristen (Sisco) McKernon and her husband Matthew and their two babies, Easton and Saywer of Argyle. Katie and Kyle Sisco and Kara Cassant of Hartford. Rebecca (Lancour) Mulhall and her husband Michael II. Their children Michael III, Matthew and MacKenzie, and Aziz Jordan of Hartford; Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special niece Laurie (McDermott) Sherman of Arlington VT.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held at the family’s convenience. A spring burial is to be held at the Morningside cemetery, Hartford
