Vivian T. (Siaulnski) Karpinski, 91, of Argyle, passed away February 6, 2016 at the New River Valley Care Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Glens Falls on May 29, 1924 she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Orynick) Siaulnski.

After World War II, Vivian married Anthony J. Karpinski in St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward, where she remained a lifelong communicant.

Vivian retired from Sherwood Medical in Argyle. She enjoyed traveling, and was a member of a square dancing group and bowling leagues for many years. Most of all, Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family and will always be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Vivian is predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Karpinski; her brothers; Steve Siaulnski and John Scott, and her sisters; Helen Kurys and Kay Buttles.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Michael A. Karpinski and his wife Lynda, Anthony J. Karpinski Jr., Joanne Clements and her husband William, and Judy McDaniel, her grandchildren; Matt McDaniel, Kathryn McDaniel, Erin McDaniel, Jim Karpinski and his wife Angela, and Stacey Duran and her husband Paul, her great-grandchildren; Anthony and Raymond Karpinski, as well as several nieces and nephews.

At Vivian’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Friday February 12, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Church 164 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Argyle Emergency Squad, 15 Sheridan Street, Argyle, NY 12809.
