Obituary for Danny Louis Bombard

South Glens Falls

Danny L. Bombard, 65, of South Glens Falls passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2016 following a long illness.

Born on October 15, 1950 in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Kenneth and Alice (St. John) Bombard.

Dan was a graduate of South Glens Falls Class of 1969.

After graduating he was drafted and joined the Navy and was honorably discharged. He was employed for a time at Finch Pruyn and later became self-employed making concrete garden statuary. He ended his working days at PriceRite, Queensbury in 2014.

Dan was a quiet man who liked to fish, watch movies and spend time at his home away from home, The Hudson Falls Fish and Game Club. He made some wonderful friendships there. Dan also spent a lot of time at Maude’s Kitchen and made some lasting friendships there.

Left to cherish his memory include his brother, Gary Bombard of South Glens Falls and his three sons, Tate (Rhadika), Jason (Kimberly) and their families, and Evan; sister, Shelly Ross and her husband John of South Glens Falls and their daughter Amy and her husband Chris. Dan also has three great-nephews Pierce, Cy and Roan; one great-niece, Grace; two aunts, Dot & Erika; along with many cousins.

Friends may call from 2-4 Sunday July 31, 2016 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 136 Main Street South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

Burial will be at 11a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871 with Military Honors.

The family would like to thank all the compassionate medical staff at Glens Falls Hospital and Albany Med, and a special thanks to caregivers and staff at Indian River Nursing Home in Granville, his home for the past year.
