Jennie M. Anthony, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her daughter’s home.

Born on April 24, 1929 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late, George and Mary (Aurelia) Missita.

On January 21, 1950, Jennie married the love of her life, Howard “Red” Anthony, in South Glens Falls and they spent over 59 loving years together until his passing in 2009.

Jennie worked in retail for most of her life, until her retirement from the Ames Dept. Store in Queensbury.

Jennie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also liked needle point, ceramics and going out to eat.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie is predeceased by her granddaughter, Katie Greenman and nine siblings, Sammy, Hank, Pat, Tony, Antoinette, Annie, Mary, Amy and Josephine.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Christine Blakely and husband, Steve, of Lake Luzerne and Jeanette Greenman, of Villa Rica, GA; her grandchildren, Steve Blakely Jr. and his wife, Penny, of Cumming, GA, Jamey Blakely and his wife, Marcia, of, Shrewsbury, MA, Sarah Whitefield and her husband, Evan, of Glenville, NY, Emily Blakely and her husband, Harrison Redfield, of Clifton Park, NY, Amy Mcdaniel and her husband, Scott, of Douglasville, GA and Matthew Greenman, of Villa Rica, GA; her great grandchildren, Steve, Nick, Olivia, Mia, Brian, Ada and Charlotte Blakely, Katie Whitefield and Jasin and Emmylou Mcdaniel; her five siblings, Louise, Angie, Rose and George Jr.; as well as many distant relatives.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday August, 20, 2016 at 10am at St. Michael’s the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Rd., So. Glens Falls, NY 12803 with the Rev. Guy A. Childs, pastor, officiating.

A Rite of Committal will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, So. Glens Falls.
