Margaret Elizabeth (Harrington) Pike, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 18, 2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born in Fort Edward, NY on September 5, 1934 she was the daughter of the late, Renard and Dorothy (Cadar) Harrington.

Margaret married the love of her life Norris David Pike and they spent 45 loving years together until his passing in 1999.

Margaret enjoyed baking and berry picking. She also loved vacationing in Hampton Beach and most of all spending time with her family.

She was a longtime member of the Village Baptist Church in Fort Edward.

In addition to her parent’s and husband she is also predeceased by her eight sisters, Irene Durham, Carol Lunt, Ruth Walkup, Marylyn Jean Russell, Shirley Chapman, Louise Hazzard, Ethel and Dorothy; and her seven brothers, Tom, Robert, Claude, Seward, Harold, Harland and Steve Harrington.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Norris R. Pike and his wife, Holly, of Glens Falls; her granddaughter, Keri Pike, of Fort Edward; as well as many nieces and nephews.

At Margaret’s request there will be no calling hours.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday August 26, 2016 at 10 am in Glens Falls Cemetery, Bay St. with the Rev. Linda Hoeschle, pastor, of Village Baptist Church, officiating.

Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory can be made to the Founders Affiliate American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005, to the First Baptist Church of Glens Falls, 100 Maple St. Glens Falls, NY 12801, or to the Fort Hudson Foundation, 319 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you and blessing to Beverly Harrington and Ann Harrington. They would also like to thank the nursing staff at Fort Hudson as well as transportation.
