SOUTH GLENS FALLS

Gordon W. "Gordy" Angus, of Wynnefield Drive, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Troy, NY Gordon was the son of the late Helen and Gordon Angus. He was a 1954 graduate of Whitehall High School.

Gordon was a US Navy veteran, a long standing member of the American Legion, and a young merchant marine. Gordon loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to camp and was known for his harmonica playing around the campfire. Gordy retired from Finch Pruyn after working his way up from laborer to Director of Human Resources. He enjoyed cooking and barbequing along with trips to the casino and watching football.

In addition to his parents, Gordon is predeceased by his wife Loretta Angus ,brothers Gary and Neil Angus and step-son Gary Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Stacey Angus and her husband Mark Millington of South Glens Falls, his son Gordon Angus and his wife Teresa of Florida, step-sons Andrew Johnson and wife Marcia of Fort Edward, Gus Poulos of Glens Falls, daughter in law Kathy Johnson of Fort Edward, brothers Wayne Angus and his wife Holly of Pennsylvania and Bruce Angus and his wife Carol, sister Gail Angus and her husband Francis and sister n laws Gail Angus of Florida and Kathy Angus of Oswego. He leaves behind his grandchildren: John Millington, Kelsey Angus, Andrew Gus Johnson, Amanda (Johnson) Lathan, Abby Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jacob Poulos, as well as his great grandchildren Justice, Cole, and Zayden.

At Gordon’s there will be no calling hours.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 11am on Friday, September 30 2016 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803, with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. To leave online condolences or to view Gordon’s Book of Memories, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
