Paul Bloomfield, 73, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born September 17, 1943 in Liepaja, Latvia he was the son of the late William and Eva (Karlson) Bloomfield.

He graduated from Argyle Central School class of 1962.

After graduation Paul proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1962-1966 as an aircraft mechanic.

Paul returned home and began working for Hercules until 1967 then Ciba Giegy until 1986. He was also the owner and operator of Ellis Service Center in Argyle.

On November 4, 1967 Paul married the love of his life Faith Eastman.

He enjoyed gardening, camping, NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt #3, the Buffalo Bills and woodworking.

Paul was a member of the Argyle Emergency Squad and R Stiles House.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Faith Bloomfield of Argyle; daughter, JoAnne Wilson and her husband James of Salem; brothers, Eric Bloomfield and his wife Dianne of Hamilton, Werner Bloomfield and his wife Carolyn of Tavares, FL; grandsons, Dustin Paul Wilson and Dakota James Wilson of Salem.

At Paul’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Argyle Emergency Squad 15 Sheridan St. Argyle, NY 12809 or R stiles House 55 Main St, Argyle, NY 12809.

The family would like to thank Donna and the staff of Hudson Falls Internal Medicine & High Peaks Hospice for their tremendous care.
