Bruce Anthony "Spoons"  LaRoe

Bruce Anthony “Spoons” LaRoe, 57, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at his home.

Born September 19, 1959 in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Joseph and Peggy (Bowen) LaRoe.

He attended Hudson Falls Central School.

Spoons was a member of the Methodist church in Kingsbury.

He was a long-time employee of Irving tissue in Fort Edward.

Spoons enjoyed camping, bonfires, friends, family and playing spoons.

Left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Patricia Bowen of Louisiana, Sherrie LaRoe of Saratoga, Karen Bills and her husband William of South Glens Falls and Barbara Blackmer and her companion Scott of South Glens Falls; brothers, Jeffrey LaRoe and his wife Wendy of Glens Falls, Mark LaRoe of Hudson Falls and Claude Barrett and his companion Chelsey of Fort Edward; daughter, Sierra LaRoe of South Glens Falls; grandson, Ryder Kennedy of South Glens Falls; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Loren Gage officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center C/O Glens Falls Hospital Foundation 237 Glen St, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
