Obituary for Brian D. Bradley

Brian D. Bradley
SOUTH GLENS FALLS
Brian D. Bradley, age 46, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 as a result of recurring pneumonia, a complication of his neurological disorder, Multiple System Atrophy.

Brian was born on March 30, 1970 in Glens Falls; grew up and lived in South Glens Falls most of his life; and graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 1988.

Brian married the love of his life, Courtney Trackey, and they spent twelve years together sharing their friendship and devotion to each other.

He was the owner of B. Bradley Mechanical, Inc., for 15 years before becoming the manager of the family business, RCAC, Inc. He was a strong-minded individual and chose to work during his time of illness right up until the last few months before his passing. He had a stubborn spirit that empowered him, and the loving care of his wife to valiantly deal with the daily challenges of MSA.

Brian had a great love for his family. He cherished his wife, Courtney, and his children, Ryan and Ella. He would spend hours in the yard playing football with Ryan, or working on crafts with Ella. He also shared a very special bond with his neighbor, Jakob French, spending countless hours working in the garage together on projects.

In his short 46-years, Brian touched the lives of his friends and family with his quick-witted humor and willingness to lend a hand to any relative or friend with home repairs. He appreciated his many friends almost as much as his own family.

Brian enjoyed motocross racing and spending time at the family camp in Indian Lake with his Dad and their mutual friends. Gatherings with his mother and step-father will always be held dear. He also loved to cook specialty food dishes, such as frying a turkey or making homemade ice cream flavors for those closest to him.

Left to honor his memory include his wife, Courtney Bradley; his father, Patrick Bradley and his partner, Pattie; his mother, Colleen Urrato, and her husband Anthony; his children, Ryan Bradley and Ella McFadden; his maternal grandmother Betty Wells, his sister, Tina Doin and her husband, Robert Jr., and their two children, Ian and Abby; his step-brother, Steven Urrato and his wife Lottie, and their child, Donovan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

At Brian’s request there will be no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

There will be a celebration of Brian’s life at the South Glens Falls Fire Department on Route 197 (Reynolds Road) in South Glens Falls on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The family would like to express their thanks to the SGF Marathon Dance for their support, and to all those who helped modify Brian’s home during his illness to make life easier for him. In addition, the family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Glens Falls Hospital on Tower 5, ICU, for their compassion and care, with a special thanks to Nurses Gregg and Cheryl and Dr. Masson. Also a big thank you to Tice, one of the T6 Techs/Aides for being the only one that made him laugh and smile during his stay at the hospital.

Donations in Brian’s name may be made to The SGF Marathon Dance, 6 Bluebird Road, South Glens Falls, NY 12803, or go to www.gofundme.com and search Brian Bradley to help the family at this difficult time.
