R. Jayne (Blair) Rottingen, 92, of Riverview St. passed away peacefully at the Glens Falls Hospital on Wednesday February1, 2017 with her loving family by her side.
Born on June 13, 1924 in Glens Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late, Walter J. and Ruth (Shaw) Blair
Jayne attended Lake George High School and graduated in the class of 1941.
In 1962, Jayne married the love of her life, Gerhard Rottingen in New Hampshire. The two settled in the Lake George region and spent 41 loving years together until Gerhard’s passing in 2003.
Jayne was employed with G.E. in Schenectady during WWII. She also spent many summers helping at the family’s Motel in Lake George.
She enjoyed going for walks, the outdoors and Bingo. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jayne is predeceased by her brother, Walter J. “Bud” Blair; as well as her son in law, Malcolm Patterson.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gail (Connors) Patterson, of VA; her son, Eric Rottingen and his spouse, John Bates Childress of Lake George; her granddaughter, Kelly (Patterson) Pincus and her husband, Ian and their children, Mason Shea and Emery Blair Pincus, of NJ; her sister, Phyllis Marcino, of L.I.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
At the family’s request there will be no calling hours.
Services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jayne’s name can be made to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center c/o Glens Falls Hospital Foundation, 126 South Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
