Obituary for Carolee Elma Bennett

Carolee E. Bennett, 65, formally of Hudson Falls passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at her home in Cohoes.

Born in Glens Falls on May 19, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Erna (Poole) Manning.

She was a graduate of South Glens Falls High School Class of 1969.

On May 16, 1981, she married Joseph O. Bennett in South Glens Falls until his passing on June 14, 2003.
Carolee was a longtime employee of Peter Harris.

She enjoyed shopping for clothes and accessories, antiques and caring for the ones she loved.

In the later part of her life, she found a special companionship with Jim Coffey who predeceased her on November 3, 2016.

Left to cherish her memory include her son, Larry LaPlanche Jr.; grandchildren, Andrew LaPlanche and Danny Howk; her sisters, Alene DeGeorge (David) and their children, Julie Torchetti and Sherry Torchetti (Dan); nephews, Tom Vrooman, Randy Torchetti and Dan Torchetti; a very special “niece” Johnna Austin, who Carolee loved very much, along with several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Southside Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Warner officiating.

Donations in Carolee’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
