Obituary for Charles John Hayes Sr.

Charles John Hayes Sr.
Cambridge

It is with great sadness for his family, friends and caregivers to learn of Charles J. Hayes Sr., passing on April 21, 2017 of natural causes. He was 88 years old. Oh what a joyous moment though at exactly 9:32am when he was reunited with his beloved after 6 years apart.

Charles was born on June 15, 1928 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Charles and Nellie (Poor) Hayes.

Charlie had a talent for anything. He was able to look at something and build it. Charlie married the love of his life, Ida Caroline Furforo. They had many years of travel, work and just being together. His heart was broken when she passed. We take great comfort knowing they are together again in the Kingdom. Charlie and Ida spent winters in Coco Beach Florida and had many friends from around the world. They visited the Holy Land and took a ”ride” around the country.

Besides his parents and wife Charlie was also predeceased by his brother, Kenneth, sister, Ruth, and grandson, Jacob Charles.
Left to cherish his memory include his son, Gene and his wife Diana of Clatsworth, CA; CJ and his wife Wendy of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Morgan, Monique and Charles III (Kayla) of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts The Washington Center in Argyle, especially the crew on Country Meadows for loving and caring for Charles. Special Thanks goes to Pageen, Donna, Jan, Ute, Marri, Jenn, Shamika and Emeka.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made in Charles name to Country Meadows at Washington Center, 4573 State Rt. 40, Argyle, NY 12809.
Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809. To view Charles Book of Memories and post online condolence, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.

God looked around the garden and found an empty space. He looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. He knows you were weary, and He knows you were in pain. He knows you would never be well on Earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered peace be thine.
