Heather Jean Lockwood, 43, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Albany Medical Center.

Born March 20, 1974 she is the daughter of Michael and Jean (McGrath) Lockwood.

She graduated from South Glens Falls High School Class of 1992 where she was President of her Junior and Senior classes. After high school Heather attended Gettysburg College.

Heather was a very loving person that would do anything for anyone. She was able to persevere through challenges and never give up. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, never missing a birthday or special occasion showing how much she cared.

Her pets were her world and she often referred to them as her kids. Heather was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved watching the Boston Red Sox.

Left to cherish her memory include her parents, Jean and Michael Lockwood; sisters, Maura Alix and Carrie Brown (Robert); brothers, Christopher Lockwood (Franny) and Brian Lockwood as well as 11 nieces and nephews. Heather is also survived by a very special friend, Tami Reynolds, who has always been there for Heather.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Mary’s Church, 62 Warren St, Glens Falls, NY 12801.

Rite of Committal will follow the services on Thursday at Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James Miller of Saratoga for his care and compassion over the last 20 years.
