Agnes Ann (Powers) Danahy
April 29, 1926 -- June 14, 2017

BRADENTON, FLORIDA -- Agnes Ann (Powers) Danahy, 91, most recently of Bradenton, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Bay Breeze Health Rehab in Venice, Florida.

She was born in Fort Edward, New York, the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Kobor) Powers.

Agnes grew up in Fort Edward and Argyle and attended Argyle Central School.

She married Leonard C. Danahy on December 17, 1960. They resided for many years in Hudson Falls, New York before retiring to Bradenton, Florida in 1979.

She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Bradenton, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leonard who passed away in 2004; her siblings, Ethel, Helen, George and Betty; and her son-in-law Erwin H. Johnson.

She is survived by her sister Sandra Apostle of Georgia; step-daughter, Ann C. Johnson of Venice, Florida; her six grandchildren Donna (Kevin) Smyth of Queensbury; Jay (Kimberly) Johnson of Johns Island, SC; Janet (Troy) Burns of Queensbury; Julie (Patrick) Dowd of Glens Falls; Jeffrey Johnson of Diamond Point; and Laura (Steven) Eldred of Lake Placid; and 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

There will be no calling hours or services. Burial at Moss Street Cemetery in Hudson Falls will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
