Obituary for Terry Lee Hilder

Argyle

Terry Lee Hilder, 69 passed away at home on Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.

Born on September 23, 1947 in Whitehall, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Pearl (Terry) Hilder.

Terry served in the Vietnam War as an E5 (Sergeant) with the Signal Core in the U.S. Army.

He worked at SCA Tissue for 35 years in South Glens Falls.

Terry enjoyed spending time with his family, he especially enjoyed spending time with his 3 grandchildren. He loved going to Saratoga Raceway with his cousin Leslie “Dickie” Currier and his brother Robert “Bobby” Hilder. He loved baseball, the New York Mets were his favorite team and he was their #1 fan. Terry also enjoyed watching the New York Giants football games.

In addition to his parents, Terry is predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Lee Hilder; his sister, Jackie Reed; his brother-in-law Walter Smith; his sister-in-law, Barbara Hilder; his mother-in-law, Pauline Robideau.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 47 years Patricia (Richardson) Hilder of Argyle; his daughter Darcy Williams of Argyle; his grandsons, Joshua Hilder of Glens Falls and Brandon Gazzillo of Glens Falls; granddaughter, Isabella Shresthas of Argyle; his brothers, Larry Hilder of Rutland, VT, Robert “Bobby” Hilder (Cathy) of Hampton, NY, Ronald Hilder of Hudson Falls and Leslie Hilder of Granville; his sisters, Audrey “Jeanie” Lapoint (William) of Granville, Margaret Smith of Fort Edward, Betty Scully of Fort Edward, Mary Ellen Bissette (Mike) of Rutland, VT and Catherine Therrian of Rutland, VT; his sister-in-law, Linda Pacyna (Steve) of Queensbury, Bonnie Edgerly (Al) of Hudson Falls; his brother-in-law, Todd Robideau (Cindy) of Hudson Falls; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A Funeral Service will be held following the calling hours at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with full military honors.
