Obituary for Edward Albert "Eddie" Skellie

Edward Albert "Eddie" Skellie
SOUTH GLENS FALLS

Edward “Eddie” A. Skellie Jr., 56, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident. He is now reunited with his ’79 Monte Carlo and his beloved Chinese Sharpei Griz.

Born January 3, 1961 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Donna (Way) Skellie Sr.

Eddie worked as a landscaper for many years and most enjoyed his employment at Toadflax Nursery.

Eddie could build anything out of wood and believed in working with whatever he had on hand at the time. He was constantly amazing those who knew him with his talent of making beautiful things from the most unusual sources. He loved to draw and ride his bike. He enjoyed having a cold beer with his friends, but most of all loved to spend time with his family.

Eddie is survived by his loving girlfriend of many years, Patricia Zwikacz, his children; George Henry and Amanda Wood, his sister Connie Hafner (Steve), his brothers, Michael Skellie (Christine), and Scott Skellie (Meredith), his nieces, Lisa McIntosh(J.R.) as well as Lacey, Gabrielle, and Clairrissa Skellie, and Beth Ann Brown, his nephews, Jon Waters (Sarah), Ken Mallory (Jenna), Brian Grover, as well as Preston and Derek Skellie, and Jason DuPuis.

At Eddie’s request there will be no calling hours or service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Eddie would want you to buy your buddy a beer in his memory.

Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. To leave online condolences, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.
