Obituary for Louise Rose Graves

South Glens Falls

Louise Kiernan Graves, 91, of Reynolds Rd. passed away suddenly on October 6, 2017 surrounded by her children.

Born in Albany on June 26, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Rose (Kritcher) Kiernan.

She attended St. Anne’s Academy in Albany.

After high school Louise moved from Albany to South Glens Falls.

In 1969 Louise married the love of her life, Harry Graves.

Louise enjoyed traveling, puzzles, card games, crafts, sewing, and being a 4-H leader. She was a loving mother and very proud grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Louise was predeceased by her husband, Harry Graves; two sons, Richard Donovan and Timothy Donovan; grandson, Sean Donovan; her siblings, Patrick Kiernan, Catherine Welch, Charles Kiernan, Edwin Kiernan, Ruth Kiernan, and William Kiernan; daughter-in-law, Michelle Donovan; son-in-law’s, Michael Kramer and Arthur Fish; special friend, Decie King.

Left to cherish her memory include her son, Charles “Chuck” Donovan of Fort Ann; daughters, Barbara “Bobbi” Kramer of North Carolina and Phyllis “Dee” Moffitt of Gansevoort; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 5p.m. – 7p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 7p.m. following the calling hours.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
