Obituary for Agnes Eileen Linehan (Quackenbush)

Glens Falls

Agnes Eileen Linehan, 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

Born on December 19, 1933 in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Eleanor (Daly) Quackenbush.

On March 17, 1967 Agnes married Richard T. Linehan and they spent 47 years together until his passing in 2015.

Agnes was a choir member at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. She worked for Warren County as a day care provider for many years and was also a teacher’s aide for Abraham Wing Elementary School.

She enjoyed reading and discussing politics. She also served as a Glens Falls Democratic Committee person for several years

Affectionately known as "Nonny" or "Aggie Baby", her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her granddaughters. She was never known to withhold her opinion whether asked for or not, but she was her family's strongest ally and supporter.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Agnes is predeceased by her brothers, Charles Quackenbush and John Daly; her sisters, Mary Ellen Quackenbush, Margaret Bristol, Marion Hopkins and Joan Ramsey.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susan Finley Brown and her husband, Ralph, Donna Finley Wood and Beth Linehan Miksch all of Queensbury; her son, Robert Linehan and his wife, Joanne of Queensbury; her granddaughters, Allison Miksch, Kerrie Miksch, Lauren Linehan, Kathryn Linehan all of Queensbury; her sisters, Jean Gordon of Hudson Falls and Michele Breault of Gansevoort; her brother, Richard Stockdale of South Glens Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 4 to 7pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. To view Agnes’ Book of Memories and post online condolences please visit kilmerfuneralhome.com.
