South Glens Falls

Cecilia A. Curran, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at age 83 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

Ceil was an avid bowler, loved line dancing, and worked many years on the Village Voting Polls for South Gens Falls. She was fortunate to be a “stay at home Mom” and bring up her 4 children. Ceil loved being around her family and friends and opened her home to everyone.

Ceil was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Thomas J. Curran, Jr., her parents Andrew and Anna (Fabian) Husarik, and dear friend, Mae Laing.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Kim Farmer) of Rochester, Joseph (Carla), William, and Michael (Pamela), her brother, Andrew Husarik, niece, Natalie Husarik, her grandchildren, Griffen, Ryan, Emily, and her life-long friends Marianne Charlebois, Greta Monrian, Wini and Howard Doster, Pauline Perrotte and Fran Many.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 4 to7 pm at the MB Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, New York 12803.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave, South Glens Falls, NY, with Rev. Guy A. Childs officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Glens Falls.


The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the loving staff at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home who cared for “CC” and surrounded her with love during her stay and especially in her final days.

Ceil and her children are alumni of South High where her grandchildren currently attend.
