Nancy Elizabeth (Baird) Durrum, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on October 25, 1935 in Salem, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Hanks) Baird.

Nancy was a 1952 graduate at Salem Washington Academy. On September 5, 1953, Nancy married Daniel Durrum at the Salem Presbyterian Church.

For many years Nancy was a cashier at the Argyle IGA. She was a member of the Argyle Presbyterian Church and J.A. Barkley Hose Company No. 1 Inc. Auxiliary.

She enjoyed playing cards and board games, reading and bowling. Nancy was an avid fan of watching the New York Knicks and the New York Mets on TV. She loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her daughter, Susan McNeil; her brother and sister-in-law, Anthony Baird and Edna Baird of Hawaii; and her sister, Gail Baird.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, Daniel; her children, Barbara Claire and her husband, John of Waterford, CT, Daniel Durrum and his wife, Betty of New Vineyard, ME, Joanne Durrum of Argyle; her grandchildren, Robert Irwin, Valerie Irwin, Elizabeth Smith, Nicholas Durrum, Sarah Pond, Sunny Patterson, Sonya Durrum, Daniel Durrum, Amanda McNeil and their spouses; her siblings, Jean Pitts of Granville, James Paul Baird and his wife, Janine of Warrensburg, Robert Kevin Baird of Glens Falls; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted following calling hours at 4pm with Rev. Stephen McLean, pastor of Argyle Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
