Obituary for Harry Bromley

Hartford

Harry J. Bromley, 73, of Hartford, went into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born on Dec. 4, 1944 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Ralph and Bertha (Newmann) Bromley.

Harry was an Army Veteran serving from 1964 to 1968 and was stationed in Germany and later Aberdeen MD. On, Feb. 13, 1965, Harry married the love of his life, Euphrosine “Nine” Mumblo at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls. Following his service, he worked for Decora, Hercules/Ciba Geigy, and he retired from Crandall Public Library. Harry was a communicant of Christian Worship Center in Warrensburg, under pastor Jerry Ellis, until his failing health prohibited him from attending and later he attended Kingsbury Wesleyan Church, Loren Gage. He enjoyed camping & fishing with his family at his favorite spot, Huntley Pond, in Minerva. He also enjoyed woodworking, making his family rocking toys and doting on his pets Wizit & Max. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harry had a giving heart and would make sure anyone in need was taken care of.

Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his infant sister, his brother, Gary, his sister, Melanie, and his great grandson, Asher William DuFour.

Left to cherish his memory besides his wife of 52 years include his children, Dawn DuFour (Chris) of Argyle, Patricia Lancette (David) of Hudson Falls; his grandchildren, John-Michael DuFour, Nicole Canaday (Matt) all of Argyle, Christopher DuFour (Ashleigh) Billy DuFour (Morgan) all of Hudson Falls, Leslianne Lancette of Hudson Falls, Matthew Lancette and girlfriend Sherry of Glens Falls, Devin Lancette and her boyfriend, Devin of Hudson Falls; his great grandchildren, Jacob & Aaliyah Canaday, Dominic & Jasper DuFour, Kayden-Daniel DuFour and Harper James Lancette; his sister, Lynn Holden and her son Paul of Mechanicville; his mother-in-law, Margery “Midget” Mumblo, his sister and brothers-in-law, Donna LeGault (Jim), John Mumblo (Paula), Bruce Mumblo (Chris-Ann), his special brother-in-law, Gary Mumblo and his girlfriend Tammy and Harold Mumblo Jr. and his girlfriend Cathy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Harry’s request, there will be no calling hours.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
