Condolence: Betty and family,
so sorry for your loss . It was always a pleasure to see Bob either at actives with fire dept like the fair or run in to him at stewarts.it was fun intentional confusing him with Ozzie. That started with Laurie getting them confused and me continueing it as a joke. I know my children especially Erin, amd many other children that rode Bobs bus.all respected and enjoyed him. he will truly be missed

Condolence: My heart aches at this passing. I had the pleasure and honor of getting to know Bob and this wonderful family as a child growing up at the bottom of Pope Hill Rd. I have many fond memories of so many moments - Bob coming to plow our driveway on tractor, being in the barn in the pool, riding 4 wheelers in the fields and simply stopping at the mailbox and then visiting. Bob and Betty were a staple to my childhood. As an adult, I reconnected with both Bob and Betty over the years-always checking in and catching up. I will miss Bobs smile and gentle ways - he rarely missed a school event. My last real contact with Bob was one recent trip he had to the ER- he was getting a "tune up" and Betty was grabbing a bite to eat-I was walking a typical ER shift and stopped in to see him. As we visited I was calmed just being in his presence and listening him to give me Argyle Village hx as I had only recently moved to the village. Such a truly wonderful man and one who will be greatly missed. I am sorry to not be able to attend the service on Monday but my thoughts and prayers are with each and every family member during this difficult time. May you be comforted knowing how many lives this dear man touched.

Condolence: My wife Elna, and I moved to Argyle nearly 21 years ago. I met Bob that first summer when I volunteered to work on the fire department food booth at the fair. Bob was handling the hamburger buns and I was assigned to the hotdog table beside him. I soon discovered that he celebrated his birthday at the fair every year. I told him we had something in common since my birthday was just 10 days before and it turned out, it was the same birthday, our 61st. Through the years thereafter, I don't know how many people Bob reminded that I was MUCH older than he was.
Elna adds that Bob was one of the first to make us feel truly a part of the Argyle community. If ever we were in our front or side yard as he drove by on the school bus, he would give two little “beeps” of the horn. It was his way of saying, “HI, friends!”
For more than 10 years Bob and I have been in the same Bible study group. He has been a wonderful friend, always cheerful and upbeat, even when he was going through tough times.
My wife and I join so many others in grieving this loss of our friend Bob.

Condolence:
I will always have fond memories of this kind, dear man who was my cousin. Memories that began as children with my summer visits on the farm and ended just recently with another summer visit and a long, farewell hug. He will be missed by many, including us.
Love to Betty and all in your wonderful family; our prayers reach out to you, and my cousins, at this very difficult, heart breaking time.

Condolence: I looked forward every year to opening corn with Mr. Reynolds at the F.E.A.S.T. I totally forgave him for burning up my electric can opener that first year :-)

I'll miss Mr. Bob's cheerful disposition.
