Obituary for Margaret E. Michelucci (Starling)

South Glens Falls

Margaret E. Michelucci, 90, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 16, 1927 in Fair Haven, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Frasier) Starling.

On April 27, 1952, Margaret married the love of her life, John J. Michelucci in St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Margaret retired as a clerk from the Joy Department Store in South Glens Falls after over 30 years of service.

She enjoyed reading, visiting with the neighborhood families but she especially loved to jitterbug with her husband and enjoyed listening to Polish Music. Margaret cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her friends. She enjoyed baking for St. Michael’s Church and delivering Meals on Wheels. Margaret lived a very simple and giving life.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, John of 59 years; her siblings, William Starling, Mary Pokrzywka and Helen Allen.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tina Michelucci of South Glens Falls, Tami Cyr (Gary) of Fort Edward, and Vicki Howe (Clark) of Fort Edward; her grandchildren, Brianne Fish (Michael), Mariah Roberson (Jimmy), Zachary Howe, Ben Cyr, Jameson Cyr, and Bronwyn Lewindowski (Adam); her great-grandchildren, Annie Margaret, Clara Rose and Lillian Grace Fish and Adelaide Shirley Roberson; her siblings, Jackie O’Brien of Watertown, Joyce Brown of Fair Haven, Jean and Joan Starling of Fair Haven, John Starling (Marilyn) of South Glens Falls, Theresa Fitzgerald (Tom) of Fair Haven, and Richard Starling (Jeannette) of Fair Haven; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held following the calling hours at 2 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven VanDixhorn of the Pine Knolls Alliance Church officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
