Mary Lorraine Williams, 96, of Moreau Drive in South Glens Falls, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 23, 1921, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late George and Marie (Belrose) Wright.

On October 28, 1951, Mary married the love of her life, Frank V. Williams, in St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls. They spent 55 years together until his passing in 2006. Mary proudly worked for the war effort at GE in Fort Edward making parts for airplanes. She also worked as a seamstress for a local dressmaker. She dedicated the rest of her life to raising her four children, enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Her hobbies included traveling with her husband, playing bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing video games, watching Westerns and MASH on TV.

In addition to her parent and husband, Mary is predeceased by her sister, Ernestine (Stephen) Bonan; her brothers, Raymond, Robert (Barbara), Russell Wright; great-granddaughter Persephone Brown and many beloved pets.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marian Williams (Bill Pennamacoor), Jennifer (Matthew) Brown, Joseph Williams and Michael Williams, her sisters-in-law, Zella Wright and Millie Wright, her grandchildren, Ira Rosa III, Erika Williams (Jason Eldridge), Jeremiah Brown (Cara Amodie) and her great-grandchildren, Landen, Angelika, Andrew, Alex and many nieces and nephews. Also her beloved canine buddy, Graham, and feline friends, Latte and Moxie.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home following the calling hours at 4 pm with Rev. Guy Anthony Childs of St. Michael Archangel Church, officiating.

Burial be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fort Edward at the convenience of the family.
