The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gorman Rich can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Clint & Leslie Roods

I remember Mr. Rich tooling around the neighborhood in his golf cart - in fact that's how I met him not long after Clint and I moved to NY from Florida. I was covered in dirt from adding plants around the mailbox when Gorman pulled over to compliment my efforts to, "keep the neighborhood beautiful". It wasn't until summer was in full swing that I got to see the master gardener who was doing the real job of making Pruyn Crest beautiful. Every summer since has been treat for the eyes. Dorothy Frances Gurney's poem will always remind me of Gorman Rich: "The Kiss of the Sun for Pardon, The Song of the Birds for Mirth, You're Never Nearer God's Heart in a Garden, Than Anywhere Else on Earth".
