The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gorman Rich can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Cindy, Robin and Family,
So very sorry for your loss. We will miss the visits to your dad’s beautiful gardens. Will miss the visits with him. He was so full of wisdom. He shared knowledge with anyone who wanted to listen to him. I was fortunate to be one who got to listen to him. I am glad he was a mentor, client and friend.

Our Sympathy.

Condolence: So sad to hear about Uncle Gummy’s passing. He always had a smile that showed his dimples along with a joke or two. He was a hard worker, had a big heart and loved his wife, family and friends dearly. Thankful we were able to have lunch at The Peppermill Restuarant and for the grand tour of his beautiful flower gardens this pass Fall. He was special in so many ways. Loved and never forgotten. RIP Uncle Gummy.

Condolence From: Clint & Leslie Roods
Condolence: I remember Mr. Rich tooling around the neighborhood in his golf cart - in fact that's how I met him not long after Clint and I moved to NY from Florida. I was covered in dirt from adding plants around the mailbox when Gorman pulled over to compliment my efforts to, "keep the neighborhood beautiful". It wasn't until summer was in full swing that I got to see the master gardener who was doing the real job of making Pruyn Crest beautiful.
Every summer since has been treat for the eyes. Dorothy Frances Gurney's poem will always remind me of Gorman Rich:
"The Kiss of the Sun for Pardon, The Song of the Birds for Mirth, You're Never Nearer God's Heart in a Garden, Than Anywhere Else on Earth".
