SOUTH GLENS FALLS

Bruce C. DeRosia, 44, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City with his loving parents by his side after a short illness.

Born September 20, 1973 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the beloved son of Bruce J. and Audrey (Christensen) DeRosia.

Bruce graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 1991 and earned his Associates Degree from SUNY Adirondack. He was the owner, and heart and soul of Giavanno’s Pizza for 21 years.

Bruce loved music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed exercising and participated in running, Crossfit, and may other forms of fitness activities. Most of all, he loved his family, and especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews whom he treated as if they were his own children. He will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends in the community and across the country.

Bruce was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, John DeRosia, and his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Pearl Christensen.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Bruce and Audrey DeRosia, his sister Suzanne Brooks and her husband Chris, his brother John DeRosia and his wife Kelly, his grandmother Jane DeRosia, his nieces Abigail and Jessica Brooks, and his nephew John Duke DeRosia, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 2-4 pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

A prayer service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave, South Glens Falls, NY 12803 with Rev. Guy A. Childs, Pastor officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
