Wanda D. Turner, 56, passed away at home surrounded by her beloved family on April 17, 2018 after a hard fought battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. She was the daughter of Jim and Doris Tarter of Rockville, Indiana.

She graduated from Western Boone High School in Thorntown, Indiana in 1980. She then moved to Arlington Texas where she met and married the love of her life Alan Turner.

Wanda and Alan were married September 29,1987 on a white sandy beach in Jamaica. They lived in Texas and Virginia before settling in South Glens Falls where they raised their children and started their business, North Country Computer.

She was a member of the Zonta Club International and served on the board of the South Glens Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Wanda enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard, mushroom hunting and motorcycle rides with her husband and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Doris. Left to cherish her memory include her husband Alan; her children, Mathew Turner of Islamorada Florida, Shelby and her husband Mike Dorman of Queensbury, Davis Turner of South Glens Falls; her brother, Roger Tarter of Crawfordsville, Indiana; and her father, Jim Tarter.

Friends may call from 2p.m. to 4p.m. on Saturday April 21, 2018 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4p.m. following the calling hours at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
