Thomas H. "Tom"  Ringer
Hudson Falls

Thomas H. Ringer, 76, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home.

Born on August 13, 1941, in Hudson Falls he was the son of Dorothy (Hart) Ringer and the late Harold Ringer.

Tom was a 1959 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. On August 19, 1961, Tom married the love of his life, Loretta LaSarso at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.

For many years Tom was a member of the St. Mary’s/ St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls. In Tom’s younger years he worked the night shift for Scott Paper while building his home in Hudson Falls for him and his wife. On October 8, 2017, he celebrated 50 years of owning and operating his car dealership, Ringer Car Country in Hudson Falls.

He was on the Planning Board for the Town of Kingsbury for many years, he was also a member of the Rotary Club years ago and a Benefactor for the Kingsbury Fire Department.

Tom enjoyed drawing designs on graph paper for different construction ideas he would come up with. He also enjoyed making computer programs from the classes that he took at SUNY Adirondack. Tom was a man who loved antique cars, collecting but especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, Tom was predeceased by his siblings, James Ringer and Barbara Short; his mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Angelo LaSarso; and his brother-in-law, Walter Graham.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Loretta; his mother, Dorothy Ringer; his children, Theresa Redmond and her husband, William, Arthur Ringer, Patricia Belden and her husband, Timothy; his grandchildren, Jessica (Anthony Wilcox), Christopher and Marissa Redmond, Samantha (James Pincheon) Ringer, Alexandra and Zane Belden; his siblings, Donna Graham, Daniel Ringer and his wife, Kathy, Cindy Ward and her husband, Michael, Anne Palmer and her husband, Michael; his sister-in-law, Leo Ringer; his brother-in-law, Wayne Short; his special aunt and uncle, Bev and Tom Brown; like a daughter, Crystal Ringer; a special friend, Jim Perkins; his family at Ringer Car Country; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Hudson Falls Police Department, Hudson Falls Volunteer Fire Department and the Fort Edward Rescue Squad, for their service. They would also like to give a special thank you to Tom’s longtime Caregivers, Pattie Towers and Crystal Benway for their care and compassion. Also, a special thank you to Alan Eicher for his lifetime of guidance to Tom and his family. A special thank you to Dr. Joseph Mihindu for his care and compassion to Tom throughout the years.

At Tom’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at St. Mary’s-St. Paul’s Church, 11 Wall St, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Cemetery, 23 Vaughn Rd, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

Box 226, Fort Edward, NY 12828 or to Hudson Falls Volunteer Fire Department, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839 or to Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company #1, Inc., 3715 Burgoyne Ave., Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
