Obituary for Zen Charles Baudoux III

Zen Charles Baudoux III, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at his home surrounded by his three loving children.

Born on September 20, 1943 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Zen Charles Baudoux II and Lillian M. (Olson) Baudoux.

Zen graduated from Westfield High School in New Jersey and went on to Bergon County Tech in Hackensack, NJ.

For many years he owned and operated his own business in Glens Falls. Over the years his career included working as a union electrician and completing all the wiring for places like the Aviation Mall, Shop Rites on the entire east coast, Whiteface Mountain for the 1980 Olympics and NASA in Florida.

Zen enjoyed gunsmithing, bow hunting, working on old cars, boxing and was golden gloves boxer in his youth. He loved family gatherings, cooking, boating, hanging by the river with the boys and never missed a whiskey Wednesday meeting!

In addition to his parents, Zen was predeceased by his granddaughter, Racheal O’Leary.

Left to cherish his memory include his children, Jeniene Morgan and her husband, Scott of South Glens Falls, Zen Baudoux IV of Corinth and Nicole O’Leary and her husband, Dan of South Glens Falls; his grandchildren, Chad Morgan, Chelsea Morgan, Scott Morgan Jr. and his wife Caitlyn, Dan O’Leary Jr and his Fiance Brianna Rabine, Zen Baudoux V and Chantz Baudoux; his siblings, Richard Baudoux of Glens Falls, Candice Seiler and her husband, Pat of South Glens Falls, Clay Baudoux and his wife, Georgianna of Garner, NC; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Zen’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4pm on Friday, June 1, 2018, at his home on 414 Oak Street, Corinth, NY 12822.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Zen will be escorted in his beloved Ford F150 to his final resting place of Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Zen’s memory can be made to the Racheal’s Memorials for Children, c/o Trustco Bank, 133 Saratoga Road, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
