Winston Spencer Kilburn, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 5, 1944, in Colchester, VT, he was the son of the late, Robert and Florence (Root) Kilburn.

Winston married his high school sweetheart, Marie Denno on February 24, 1962 in Colchester, VT. He attended school at Essex Junction, VT. Winston was a farmer all his life before getting hurt in 1997. Farming was his life and he was happiest in a tractor. He loved his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and wanted them around as much as possible. He loved watching tennis, hunting, boating, a little bowling and watching the birds from the dining room. He was his own mechanic most of his life and tried to teach his sons the same.

Winston is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Denno Kilburn; his sons, Winston Jr., Ethan and his significant other Tammy Betit, Jason and his wife, Angie; his daughter, Penny and her significant other, Michael McLaughlin. His grandchildren, Michelle, Amanda and her husband, Jakob Chovan, Kayla and her husband Duell, Nicholas and his wife Rebecca, Ethan Francis Kilburn Jr. and his wife, Elaine, Spencer, Marshall, Madalyn, Stephanie, Cordell, Marissa, Colton and Riley. His great-grandchildren, Saraya, Bailey, Tiler, Kameron, Adelais, Karson, Averylnn, Vera, Ethan III, Chelcie, Cooper, Payden, Dylan, Autumn and Eric III and a great-grandson to be born in Oct. Great, great-granddaughter, Aubrey Skye Powers born on June 7, 2018. One goes to Heaven and another is born.

He is also survived by one sister, Gail and her significant other, Carl, brothers, Frank (Betty), Albert (Jan), Louis (Donna) and Bruce (Doreen); his sisters-in-law, Donna, Paula, Carol, Marleen and Julie; his brother-in-law, Bertrand Jr.; and many, many nieces, nephews and countless cousins.

In addition to his parents, Winston was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Lee Cook; his mother and father-in-law, Bertrand and Rose Denno; his sister, Val and brother-in-law, Min Leduc (who he missed dearly since his passing in 2016), brothers, Ronald, Norman and Roger.

A Memorial Service will be conducted following the calling hours at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
