Condolence: It saddens me to see the news of this incredible person’s passing. Mr. Cote touched more lives than we will ever be able to count. He brought knowledge, adventure and excitement into our junior high lives. Mr. Cody’s classes are some of my most fond memories of junior high. I am so deeply sorry for your loss but know that Heaven has an is gained another angel. Mr. Cote was definitely one of a kind and his teachings will live on through the thousands of students he taught over the years. Thank you for sharing a piece of your life with us.

Condolence From: Dayle Ahrens
Condolence: You and Leo were such a wonderful couple, I really regret that we didn’t become fast friends. Leo and Roger were so into history and had such giving natures, and loved our Adirondacks. While you and I shared a similar sense of humor. Oh what a missed opportunity especially knowing from your wonderful obituary that Leo and I retired from teaching within a year of each other. Perhaps in the coming months when you need a good listener you can give me a call 796 2660, I know that hearing from friends got me through this last year since my Rog died last Sept 13th 2017. I’ve texted Beth and Jeni this morning about your tragic news. Of course give my condolences to Mary Beth and David and their families. Affectionately, Dayle Ahrens

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Cote's passing. He was among my favorite teachers at Whitehall Junior-Senior High School. Seventh grade at Whitehall was a bit scary since it was the first year at the "big" school. Having a funny, kind, understanding teacher like Mr. Cote was a big help. Social Studies hadn't been among my favorite subjects prior to seventh grade, but Mr. Cote made it fun and interesting. He also knew his stuff and was always open to questions and discussions. He treated his students with kindness and respect and I am grateful to have known him.
