Very sad to learn of Brooks passing. We sat next to each other on the Juilliard Orchestra 1958 tour to Europe. (1958 Worlds Fair in Brussels) While at Juilliard, Brooks and I were both students of James Chambers, solo horn of the NY Philharmonic. I remember Brooks as a giant among horn players, especially those of us who played the Conn 8D French Horn. Brooks was a good friend of mine. I will miss him.
