First Sgt. Terrence C. Irwin, 62, passed away on August 18, 2013, doing what he loved most, helping others.

Born January 7, 1951, in Glens Falls, NY, he was the second oldest of twelve children. His parents were the late Samuel and Thelma (LaGoy) Irwin, Jr.

Terry graduated from Hartford Central School in 1968 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Vincennes University in Indiana. Terry enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for 21 years. While traveling with the Army, he met and married his wife Suki on August 11, 1972, in Seoul, South Korea.

Terry most enjoyed his children and grandchildren, as well as raising his calves with Suki. He could fix anything and enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his brother, Daniel “Digger” Irwin in 2005, and his brother Roger Irwin in 2012.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Suki Irwin, his children; Shane Irwin and his wife Jennifer and Melinda Filaberto and her husband Jason, his grandchildren; Mikayla, Joshua, Daniel and Alexis Irwin, Kimberly Steward, and Emily Filaberto, his siblings and their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
