Obituary for Darlene Lefebvre

Darlene Lefebvre of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully at home September 16, 2018, at the age of 69 after an extended battle against cancer.
Darlene was born in Cohoes, NY. She was the only daughter of Romeo Lefebvre of Sherrington, Canada, and Veronica Marcil Lefebvre of Cohoes, NY.
Darlene had two brothers, Raymond of Waterford, NY, and Arthur of Long Island, NY, who predeceased her.
Darlene is survived by three brothers, Robert of Ft Edward, NY; Edmond of Rancho Pal Verdes, CA and James of Albany, NY.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from St. Mary’s School/Hospital in Troy, NY, Darlene proudly served eight years in the US Air Force attaining the rank of Captain as a Flight Nurse. After discharge, she joined the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL, where she worked primarily as a Charge Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit for 35 years. Darlene dedicated her entire adult life caring for the health needs of others.
Family and friends are invited to honor Darlene by attending her Funeral Mass to be conducted at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave, South Glens Falls, NY, at 10 AM on Friday September 21, 2018, with Rev. Guy A. Childs officiating.
Rite of Committal with military honors will be conducted at a privately held ceremony at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Local arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
